Eighteen months ago the parent company of CardTrak made a major commitment to delivering its information
via the Internet. From the very beginning CardWeb, Inc. recognized the necessary elements to building Web
traffic included daily news, an extensive document library, research tools, calculators, other elements of interactivity and
plain ole FUN. The fun part of the RAM Web site is CardGame "The Interactive CardGame That Pays". To play, CardGame participants are required to answer a few demographic questions followed by a ten question credit card quiz. Hints and links are provided with each question to locate the correct answers throughout the Web site. RAM established CardGame to run initially for two years and payout more than $50,000.
Since the Web site serves two constituencies, consumers and industry executives, CardGame was offered as two different contests. Each month one winning entry was drawn from each contest. The monthly prize for consumers is an interest-free year on credit cards, up to $1,000. The monthly prize for executives is a free subscription to RAM Research's industry publications.
The grand prize for consumers is a credit card balance payoff up to $5,000. The grand prize for executives is a trip for two to London, worth about $8,000.
On February 28 RAM Research held the 1996 grand prize drawing in conjunction with the company's annual Board of Directors meeting at the Hawk's Cay Resort in the Florida Keys.
And the winners . . . . .
The consumer contest winner is Ms. Christie Lange of Alexandria, Virginia and the executive contest winner is Mr. Ray DeYoung of the Tandy Corporation in Ft. Worth, Texas.
For 1997 both CardGames remain the same except the executive grand prize is a trip for two to Paris via United Airlines.
