less creditworthy consumers with low credit limits. In an effort to put
the luster back into "Platinum" some issuers are now adding other
descriptors to their "Platinum" cards such as "Double Platinum,",
"Ultimate Platinum," and "Platinum Plus." Citibank and MBNA have moved
to the "Diamond" level for some of their cards and Fleet continues to
bang away with its "Titanium" card. If you really want to impress
someone with a credit card get the American Express "Black" card ($2500
per year) or the new "White" VISA ($1500per year).
