Oh thank heaven for American Express and its new gift card and prepaid Internet shopping card. The new 7-Eleven Internet Shopping Card and American Express Gift Card are being sold exclusively at participating 7-Eleven stores in the USA. The Internet card can be used to make online purchases from American Express Internet merchants.  The gift card can be used anywhere American Express cards are accepted. However both cards can be used to make 7-Eleven purchases. The cards can be loaded with value from $25 to $1,000 and can be reloaded with additional funds. AmEx is charging a 4% load fee for the card and a $1.50 monthly inactivity fee if the card is not used for twelve consecutive months. Cards can be reloaded with additional value at any participating 7-Eleven store. With more than 21,000 convenience stores worldwide, the operations of 7-Eleven include approximately 5,800 7-Eleven and other convenience stores in the USA and Canada.  In addition, licensees and affiliates operate more than 15,200 7-Eleven stores in the USA, its territories and 17 other countries.
