For the third consecutive year, VISA is running its "Magic Moments" promotion during the holiday shopping season. VISA cardholders using their card between now and December 26 could win a totally free purchase at any moment. If the VISA processing date and time for a VISA purchase matches that day's randomly selected "Magic Moment," the cardholders wins. A credit will appear on a future statement or a check will issued depending on the amount of transaction. Some participating merchants and card issuers are offering bonus awards in addition to the VISA prize. Cash advances, balance transfers, non-U.S.-dollar purchases, and ATM, convenience-check, and Interlink-processed transactions, and purchases authorized by entering a PIN do not qualify. If the cardholder winner's purchase transaction results in a total prize value of less than $600, the prize will be awarded as a credit to the winner's VISA card account. If a cardholder's account is closed at the time of the prize award, the prize will be issued as a check.
