The first professional card has hit the market. Pro2Net and the Principal Financial Group have teamed up to offer a VISA Platinum card that offers a 1.25% cash-back bonus that can be applied toward financial products. The bonus can be used for savings and money market accounts, mutual funds, mortgage and consumer loans, annuities and life insurance. Cardholders will also receive free online account access, free online bill payment services and other benefits. Pro2Net says it will build a host of services around the card, including discounts on online continuing education courses as well as books, software and other resources sold through its e-commerce Marketplace. Pro2Net and the Principal also offer a Classic VISA version of the program that offers 0.75% cash back feature. Both cards carry no-annual-fee and a prime +6% interest rate.
