Work a little magic for your business! With the help of a basketball legend you can pick up some business tips and take a shot at $100,000 in prize money. Next Monday, May 22nd, American Express Small Business Services will host a cybercast with Earvin "Magic" Johnson to help small business owners score on the Net.  Magic will share lessons he has learned to date leading up to the launch this fall of his own business, UrbanMagic.com, and offer his thoughts and experiences in leveraging the web for success. The cybercast will originate in New York and will accept questions both from a live and an online audience. The cybercast will help kick off "E-magine with Blue for Business," a Web-based contest that will award 100 small business owners with free web site set up.  The winners, who will be selected by a distinguished panel of judges, will become part of a "living laboratory" that can be observed via the Blue for Business Web site.  At the end of January 2001, the most successful Webpreneur will be announced and awarded $100,000 cash. Entries are accepted through June 26, 2000 and the 100 winners will be announced on or around July 10, 2000.  For additional information and to enter the contest, small business owners should visit the American Express Blue for Business Web site (www.americanexpress.com/blueforbusiness). To catch the cybercast point your web browser to the same American Express Web site from 700-800 PM (EST) on Monday, May 22. Questions will be taken both from a live audience of 200 small business owners and from online participants.
