The king of convenience stores continues to sell more non-food stuff than ever. This week 7-Eleven announced it is now offering a prepaid Gift Card from American Express. Using cash or a credit card, a customer may purchase a prepaid Gift Card at the register of any participating 7-Eleven store. Once activated by the sales associate, the Gift Card becomes immediately available to pay for purchases online or at almost any retail store that accepts American Express. The Gift Cards can be loaded with any whole dollar value from $25 to $1,000 and can be reloaded with additional funds and used as a stored value card for more shopping. The cost for the Gift Card is the denomination value plus an additional 4 percent load fee charge.
