No one likes paying a surcharge to use an ATM, and now Dollar Bank has joined 24 other Western Pennsylvania institutions to help its customers declare their independence from surcharging.
Dollar Bank’s 58 ATM’s have joined a network of over 200 ATM’s that comprise the FREEDOM ATM ALLIANCE, which is open to all banks in the region and gives surcharge free access to their customers. First Federal Savings Bank and Keystone Savings Bank will soon be joining the following banks already in the FREEDOM ATM ALLIANCE, which is in the five-county region surrounding Pittsburgh:

Carnegie Savings Bank Pittsburgh Home Savings

Compass Fed. Savings Bank Stanton Fed. Savings Bank
Dollar Bank Three Rivers Bank & Trust
Fidelity Bank Washington Fed. Savings Bank

First Nat. Bank of Slippery Rock Workingmens Savings Bank
Great American FederalDollar Bank has established a $1.00 surcharge for customers of those institutions who have elected not to join the alliance, effective January 7, 1999. Each of the member institutions permits its ATM’s to be used by the customers of the other members without any surcharge.
