Great Western Bank began marketing its
credit card program through CardWeb, Inc.s World Wide Web site this
morning. Great Western is now offering Web surfers a choice between its
long-term, low-rate product and its cash rebate product. Consumers may
review the banks product information and request an application on-line.
Great Western becomes the fourth issuer to join RAM Researchs CardWeb
program, following First USA,
Wachovia and AFBA Industrial Bank. CardWeb, which is
limited to twelve card issuing institutions, has a total of eight
commitments as of this morning. CardWeb partners receive extensive
promotion and premier placement within RAMs Web expansive site plus
external promotion on Internet search engines. RAMs Web site of nearly
3,000 payment card documents draws between 20,000 and 30,000 visitors per
day, about half of them consumers.
