Grammy® Award-Winning Recording Artist John Legend and Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay Headline First-Class Cruising Experiences Solely for American Express Cardmembers
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL)
and American Express announced two one-night cruises from the Port of
New York on NCL's new "It" Girl - Norwegian Gem, the line's latest ship
in its Jewel-class fleet. Exclusively for American Express Cardmembers,
these cruises are scheduled for Thursday, December 20 and Friday,
December 21, 2007 and will feature private concerts by Grammy®
Award-winning artist John Legend and special tasting menus inspired by
the country's top chefs, including the Food Network's Bobby Flay.
The cruises are designed to give American Express Cardmembers premium
access to the newest jewel in NCL's fleet, while providing an evening of
unforgettable dining and entertainment.

for two people and range upward for premium access, such as a private
late-night dinner prepared by Bobby Flay and an exclusive opportunity to
meet John Legend. The one-night cruises will depart the port of New York
at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 20 and 6 p.m. on Friday, December 21
(guests must be on board 30 minutes prior); the ship will sail off the
coast of New York and return to the Port of New York the following day
at approximately 8 a.m. Cruises are on sale now.
In addition to the intimate concerts (two sets each night) by John
Legend and first-class tasting menus and wine tasting flights inspired
by the country's top chefs and sommeliers, guests traveling on these
extraordinary voyages will have full access to NCL's unique brand of
Freestyle Cruising and Norwegian Gem's numerous amenities and
entertainment including: 10 restaurants, 11 bars and lounges, sketch
comedy by Second City, dancing, a world-class spa and bowling in the
Bliss Ultra Lounge.
Norwegian Gem, NCL's new "It" Girl, will launch in October 2007 and sail
five Mediterranean itineraries before coming to the U.S. in December.
Following a series of inaugural events on the east coast, including the
ship's christening, which will take place on Tuesday, December 18 at the
Port of New York, Norwegian Gem will make her winter home in New York
with a seven-day Bahamas and Florida itinerary in December 2007,
February, March and April 2008. In January and February 2008, she will
sail a series of 10- and 11-day Exotic Southern Caribbean itineraries
roundtrip from New York. The ship will summer in Europe sailing
seven-day Western Mediterranean cruises roundtrip from Barcelona through
November 9, 2008. The Western Mediterranean itinerary includes stops in
Valletta, Malta; Naples, Rome (Civitavecchia), and Florence/Pisa
(Livorno), Italy; and Nice (Villefranche), France.
