Discover(R) Card today announced a new way to save big on fall essentials through its "Get Set for Fall" program. From July through September, Cardmembers will have the opportunity to earn 5% Cashback Bonus on:

-- Apparel and home purchases from the Gap, Kohl's, Famous Footwear, Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, Linens 'n Things, and Pier 1 Imports

-- Office supplies and computers from Dell, Office Depot, OfficeMax, and Staples

-- Tuition payments, from preschool to college

The National Retail Federation identifies the back to school shopping season, with sales of approximately $50 billion, as second only to the winter holiday season in consumer spending. Since fall is the time for fresh starts at work, at home, as well as at school, Discover Card is offering Cardmembers a free and easy way to build rewards even faster through "Get Set for Fall," part of Discover Card's Get More program.

"Through the seasonal Get More program, Discover Card wants to help consumers earn more rewards faster, by giving 5% Cashback Bonus at locations where they are spending the most time and money."

From July through September, Cardmembers who take advantage of 5% Cashback Bonus with the Get More program could see savings of $100 for tuition, apparel and office/home purchases and more than $300 if they participate in the program year-round. Plus, Cardmembers always earn up to 1% Cashback Bonus - unlimited - on all other purchases.

The Get More program is free to Discover Cardmembers. It offers the opportunity to earn 5% Cashback Bonus in over 15 different categories that align with consumers' top seasonal shopping needs. Just as their shopping needs change, so do the categories - four times a year - so Cardmembers earn the most cash based on where they want to shop and use credit. For example, from October through December, the "Make the Holidays More Entertaining" program features 5% Cashback Bonus on top holiday spend categories such as music, books and restaurants.
